Phone photos

Moving to France means changes, and one of those for me is a fancy mobile phone. This time last year I had never even owned a cell phone before, but somehow I rationalized this new extravagance. Not that I have much occasion to talk on the phone; the most I've used it in that capacity was talking with the electrical company, but I'm not ready to reflect on that story yet. But this phone has so many more uses than a simple talking device. Mostly I've used it to play Angry Birds. The birds get sluggish sometimes. I might need to upgrade the phone.

Anyway, it has a camera, so I've been taking some photos since I always have it with me. So here's a tiny view of our life in Antibes from that vantage.

Here's Cheryl in our kitchen listening to me explain all the wonderful things my phone can do.

Maggie gets to show off the living room. When she sits on the tile floor, she slowly slips backwards as her legs splay out. It is pretty funny to watch. When you tell her how beautiful she looks, her ears go like Yoda's.

I guess a blog site isn't really made for putting up posts containing more photos than text. Next time I will just post a link to an album if I have more than a few, but for this one I'll just press on.

Looking at the Maritime Alps behind the old city. Besides a short work related trip to Valberg, I haven't got into them yet. I hope I can manage at least one trip before the ski season ends, but I haven't got my equipment together yet.

The harbour is filled with ugly monsters, designed to display wealth more than anything else, but there are a few that display wealth and taste.
