We live about 5-10 minutes walk from the ocean. Today has been exceptionally windy (apparently about 55km/h), so we made a point of going to the water to see how the ocean was behaving. I don't know if the photos do it justice, but here is a little of what we saw. Some of the waves were shooting up over the top of the wall of the city and onto the road.
